so my first organization experience is in Welcome Party event held by CSC to CSC new member. I was in a game division and it was really fun while I’m cooperating with my team and other committee.
HTTP (HIMTI Together and Top Performance) is a grand ceremony and celebration event for new School Of Computer Science students and is one of the biggest events that organized by HIMTI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Informatika). HIMTI itself was the biggest organization in Bina Nusantara University who it’s member are Students of School of Computer Science faculty of Bina Nusantara University. HTTP 2016 event is located at BPPT II building Auditorium 3rd floor in Central Jakarta and being held at September 10th 2016 at 9am until finish. HTTP registration fee is Rp. 150.000,-. With such of a high price, they attract us by telling that we will get free lunch, free transportation, free HIMTI Exclusive PIN, E-Certificate, T-Shirt, Goodie Bag, Merchandise, PBC (Pengenalan Bahasa C), Door Prize, new friends, and many more. They told us about what will it be in HTTP event, like Inauguration Binusian 2020 School of Computer Science, Visualization, Band, Dance, Talkshow, Application showcase, Special performance, and many more. The theme for HTTP this year is Passion, Innovation, and togetherness. So the day for the event was come. at the morning at 7.00 AM I have to go to BINUS Anggrek Campus and have my shuttle bus there. I was ordering the second shift of the bus and I was departed at 7.45 AM. After some minutes, I’ve arrived at BPPT II building it was at around 8.00 AM. Then I was lead to the registration validation and then IT showcase. The IT show case is really are interesting, it is showing applications and games that are using their own engine like unity and some others. After seeing around I enter the Auditorium and in there we are watching zootopia movie. And at 9.00 AM the film was cut off and here goes the advertisement about Course NET. After that the HTTP event was opened by robotic mascot saying that “HTTP event will start in 3… 2… 1… “. And after that Peanut Butter band was performed with some songs and after that the MC is coming with an unique opening. The MC was should be two person but it is only one that was showed up, and the other was like making drama that been showed like he just awake and need to hurry to go to the HTTP event. And then there their comes the MC, their was Clarisa Valencia & Sandi Alta as the MC for the HTTP event. The event start with opening speech by Martin Arlando Teng as the chief of the HTTP event, Jonathan Gozali as HIMTI Chairman in Kemanggisan, Rionaldo Aureri Linggautama as HIMTI Chairman in Alam Sutra, and Fredy Purnomo S.Kom., M.Kom. as dean of School of Computer Science in BINUS university. After that we were showed a video of “key to success” by Vice Rector Student Affairs & Community Development Drs. Andreas Chang, MBA of BINUS university. After that we were entertained by a solo performance by Adam, and a games from MC that pull random people to play “words chain” games. And it was really funny. After that wee are taking break at 10.50 for lunch. The lunch isn’t really good, I don’t quite like it. The break is just not for lunch, we can go outside to see the sponsors stands. At 12.40 the break is over and the event continue with a talkshow with Nathanael, Reynold, and Christian that are talking about what’ve they invented like a robot talking in Bahasa, and personality check based on your twitter. And after that another games that put a ping pong all into a helmet basket. At 13.45 there are Visualization about HIMTI and it was so funny and worth to see. At 15.10 is the second break and we should go out and see the stands again. At 16.30 we’re going in again and see a dance performance by Revolution. After that there is a another band that their performance are quite good it is the Vibing High that sang pop songs. After that there is a inauguration ceremony that were lead by mars HIMTI song. After that there is an announcement who is the winner of the selfie contest and who win the HTTP Door Prize lottery. And here we are at the top of the performance, it is DJ form Angelo. It is really fun shaking with the waves of humans. At 18.20 we were taking our merchandise, t-shirt and others and then going to our bus. At. 18.30 the bus start moving to BINUS Anggrek. And that is all about HTTP event. It is really are a great and worth experience.
Academic Orientation (AO) is one of the FEP event that we learn he basic of our major courses, facility and Staff in BINUS especially in my faculty “School of Computer Science (SoCS)”. The Academic Orientation is more likely a simulation of collage life like we’re in class the lecturer is teaching and there is also schedule and any other else. When in Academic Orientation I was in the Global Class of the Computer Science major and it was a new friends for me and I really enjoy the Global Class.
General Orientation is like normal orientation that tell what BINUS University is. My class was with BBN03 which mean i was in the second batch of General Orientation. At first, i still didn’t get used to new friends from different places or personality, and time passed, here i am have many good friends right now especially in General orientation Class. In the first day, we were to introduce ourselves and made our first bond with each other and the courses is about briefing of GO and BINUS. There were some funny games that makes us wake up in the sleepy and boring classes. we also learn about Mars Binusian and Mars Bina Nusantara songs. Our BC (Buddy Coordinator) is really are nice to us. And one of the most memorable thing is if we see man with a girl we will shout to that man “buaya”. in Indonesian that means you are like a playboy or doing “modus”. And that is still being remember until now and our class name changed into “buaya”. another thing that is memorable is our yel-yel that using wash and dry word because we are moving like that so we shout like that even though it is not make sense to it’s lyric. after that our class name change to “cuci-jemur (buaya)”. In GO there are also Bunga Rampai session where the organization in BINUS presentate themselves to invite to join the organization and it was a really good event where we could see so many good organization that BINUS have. And the last but not least memorable thing in GO is when the BC act like their angry to us and say that we are wrong and very noisy and something else, but in the end it just a surprise party for our class w=and they gave us cake and it is really amazing and we can’t tell by words. So, after that we make a plan to reply this surprise with another surprise and we agreed that when after the yel-yel in “kebersamaan” session, we broke our formation in the line to give flower and say thank you to our BC. Even after that we have a gift to each of our BC after the EXPO session, and it was a really great experience.
Hello everyone, this is my first post in this blog and this post will tell you about what is FEP? FEP or Fresh Enrichment Program is a program that tell new BINUSIAN 2020 about what BINUS is. FEP is itself has three parts, the first is General Orientation where it takes place in BINUS syahdan and anggrek for about one week. The second is Academic Orientation where we as BINUSIAN 2020 were doing class simulation, briefing about the base of our study, and telling about facility in BINA NUSANTARA University. and the last but not least is Campus Life Orientation is what we are doing now, where we doing a normal campus life with our BC guidance, so we could used to or familiar with “campus life”.
